How to Request a Course or Map Update
Is the course or map outdated in the app? Here's how to request a fix for each.
Course Updates
For course updates, please send a picture of the scorecard (or a link to something online) to support@shotpattern.app with a detailed explanation of what needs updated within the app. We'll forward your request to our course mapping vendor and updates typically occur within two business days.
Common requests include:
- Adjust scorecard yardages
- Add a tee set
- Re-map bunkers, greens, fairways, etc. after a renovation
Map Updates
We rely on Apple Maps for the standard aerial imagery in Shot Pattern.
There are three versions of the imagery in the app. Please tap the Menu button in the bottom left, and then "Switch Map." You’ll be prompted to switch from “Realistic” to “Satellite” or to “Alternate.” First, try switching to "Satellite." If that doesn't work, try "Alternate."
If none of those options work, we’ll have to request a map update to Apple.
Go to Apple Maps - scroll to the bottom and tap “report an issue” - “other or multiple things are wrong” - then in the comment field you can request updated satellite imagery due to construction in the area.
Apple Maps update periodically, but unfortunately, we don't have a way to monitor status updates.
